Tiny Diner @ Garden Farme is Hiring Full-Time Assistant

Position:  Rural Site Farm Assistant

hours:  40 hours a week starting in early May continuing into October depending on weather conditions.

Paid: $10-$12/ hours DOE

Deadline:  Feb 27th

*Rustic housing accommodations available.  Must have own transportation.

Description:  The Tiny Diner at Garden Farme is an intensive vegetable production site located, as our name implies, at the lovely Garden Farme in Ramsey, MN.  Our main goal is to grow food that will be directly absorbed by the Tiny Diner and other Kim Bartmann restaurants. This year we will be ramping up production and will be striving to provide a significant amount of produce for 8 restaurants, while maintaining the integrity of the soil and ecosystem.  The farm assistant duties will include all aspects of farm work, including planting, watering, weeding, pest control, building soil, harvesting and packing produce.  We are looking for an experienced farmer/ gardener to join the team!

Qualifications:

~2/3 years experience in gardening/ farming

~Able bodied, can lift 40 lbs, can keep up with a strenuous pace, ~willing to work in varying weather conditions

~Dedicated to local foods, sustainable agriculture and food justice

~must be dependable and dedicated to working for the full farm season

~Great attitude and communication skills
